On 14 April 2004, Mr. Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission, delivered the speech  “the Role of the EU in a Changing World” at CASS, then launched the new initiative in the field of higher education co-operation, EU-China European Studies Centres Programme (ESCP).

On 15 July 2005, Mr. Barroso President of the European Commission, delivered the speech “The Future of Sino-EU Relations”.

On 28 August 2007, Dr. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and President of the European Council, delivered a speech in CASS.

On 11 August 2003, Mr. Gabriele Menegatti, Italian Ambassador to China delivered a speech on tasks and measurements during Italian Presidency in the EU.

On 12 March 2004, Klaus Segbers, Professor for Political Sciences, Institute for East European Research/ Department for Political Sciences, Free University of Berlin delivered speech on the relationship betwwen Europe and USA and German Affairs.

On 20 September 2004, Andrew Moravcsik , Professor of Politics and Director, European Union Program Princeton University delivered a speech “The Nature of European Constitution: From the Prospect of Inter-Governmentalism”.

On 12 October 2004, Paul-Marie de la Gorce, président de la Fondation et de l'Institut Charles de Gaulle, delivered the speech “ French Internal and External Policies and Their Cultural Connotation”.

On 13 June 2005, Karsten D. Voigt, Germany’s Coordinator for German-American Cooperation, delivered the speech“The Relationship between Europe and the United States under New Geo-strategic Background”.

On 5 September 2005, Prof. Rudolph Binion, the Leff Professor of History at Brandeis University delivered a lecture “European Identity: Its Historic Origins”.

On 13 April 2007, Mr. Robert Cooper, Director-General for External and Political –Military Affairs, the Council of the EU, delivered a speech on EU’s Foreign Relations and Iranian Nuclear Crisis.
