The Seminar on” Economic Growth and Social harmony” was held by the Institute of European Studies, CASS on March 20-21, 2007 in Beijing. The seminar focused on the theory and practice of European social model, challenges, adjustment, and reform of the European social model in the new situation, especially the experiences and lessons in” Economic Growth and Social harmony” of EU and its member states, and what will China learn from those experiences. 15 domestic experts and scholars on European economy, social policy attended the seminar.
