Lithuania Post, the state-owned public limited company, has entered into a partnership agreement with CLEVY, an international logistics and transport company that operates in China and provides consulting and other services to Chinese companies developing international businesses.

The CLEVY and Lithuania Post partnership will focus on the delivery of goods originating from China to European countries covering the EU member states, Russia, Belarus, and other countries.

According to Lina Minderien, CEO of Lithuania Post, stronger relations with China and partnership with CLEVY will provide the company with unique development opportunities.

"Online-based commerce in China is one of the largest and rapidly growing businesses in the world. It is estimated that this year e-commerce will net 10 percent of total retail trade volumes in China. With such growth, need for safe, quality, and on-time delivery of goods both inside the country and abroad is increasing. Although Lithuania is a transit country, partnership with Chinese companies will make us a gateway to Europe for goods originating from China. Lithuania Post will handle the items and ensure their delivery to other European countries. Apart from that, Lithuania Post will be able to expand the range of services provided and boost turnover," said CEO of Lithuania Post Lina Minderien.

With a convenient geographical location, developed infrastructure, and relations both with Western and Eastern countries, Lithuania is believed to be a strong logistics center for goods coming from China.

Lithuania Post runs the widest network of postal access points in Lithuania and provides postal, logistic, and financial services.
