Xi: bilateral ties to benefit from China's reform, opening up
BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Xi Jinping says ties with Germany will benefit from China’s further reform and opening up, and he believes their cooperation will bring about good results.
He was addressing a reception in Dusseldorf, attended by business representatives from both countries. President Xi said economic and trade ties act as the driving force for relations. He said China needs German quality, and Germany needs China’s market and its speed of development.
The president praised the business representatives for their contributions to China’s growing with Germany and the EU. And he said he expects more from them, optimizing bilateral trade structures, expanding scope for cooperation, strengthening innovation, using dialogue to resolve trade friction, and shouldering more social responsibility.
Xi Jinping wraps up his two-day visit today, and will next head to Belgium.
