KATOWICE, Poland, May 14 (Xinhua) -- China-Europe Economic Cooperation Forum engaged a whole day discussing about the economic cooperation between China, Poland and other central European countries in the future.

As one of the key events surrounding the 5th European Economic Congress, it attracts participants from both countries in various fields such as government officials, scholars, bankers and enterprises.

Gao Xiqing, deputy president of China Investment Cooperation told the audience: "Poland has become very important in the European economy. Poland is a shining star among the European countries especially in the middle of economic crisis, and for us, as investor, it is happy to see it. "

Talking about the investment environment in Poland, Gao continued: "Chinese investors find Poland welcoming for foreign investment, unlike some countries that are worried about Chinese investment taking it as a threat or risk. We appreciate very much the correct attitude from Poland towards investment. "

Janusz Piechocinski, deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Poland, suggested that China and Poland have to know each other better, and "go together, go global."

All the participants agreed that it is important for China and Poland to building mutual understanding, trust in promoting economic cooperation. Many Polish participants agreed that Poland should promote more of its presence in China and build its own unique image.

Waldemar Pawlak, member of the Polish parliament and former deputy Prime Minister of Economy, suggested: "The political environment is good for economic cooperation between Poland and China, it is high time for us to know each other better and build more business potentials. "

This was the second China-Europe Economic Cooperation Forum. Its main topics covered areas such as relations between Central Europe, China and the World, opportunities and risks in Europe - China cooperation and also suggestions about how Poles going to China.

The first Forum took place in 2012 as one of the events surrounding the European Economic Congress in 2012.
