Hungary to invite 50 children from China quake zone
NANJING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Fifty children from China's quake zone will be invited to the Confucius Institute in Hungary for them to recover, Vice Chairman of the Hungarian Parliament Istvan Ujhelyi announced Tuesday.
Ujhelyi made the offer at the fourth China-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum held in Suzhou City in east China's Jiangsu Province, adding that Hungary wants to help the children forget the pains which the quake has caused.
He said that all costs during their recovery in the country will be paid for by Hungary.
The 7.0-magnitude earthquake, that jolted Lushan county, Sichuan Province, on Saturday, had claimed at least 193 lives and left 12,211 injured, said the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
In 2008, Hungary also invited 50 children for recovery in the country after a devastating earthquake rocked the Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province.
