IES to Host China-Europe Social Forum on Global Governance

During July 9-10, 2010, IES will host a workshop on global governance in the framework of the China-Europe Social Forum.  It will discuss new security challenges and global governance, models of global governance, and governance experiences in Europe and China.

There will be seven European participants at the workshop.  They are:  Arnaud Blin, Coordinator, Forum for a New World Governance; Général (ret) Patrice Monpeyssin, CIDAN; Nelson Lourenço, Rector of the University Atlantica, Lisbon; Colonel (ret) Manfred Rosenberger Military Alliance for Peace and Security; and Paul Tranh van Trinh, former Ambassador of the EU. Chinese scholars will come from IES and other academic institutions in Beijing.
