CHEN Xin
Deputy Director
Professor Dr. CHEN Xin is the deputy director general of the Institute of European Studies, CASS.
Professor Dr. CHEN Xin is the deputy director general of the Institute of European Studies, CASS. He is also the Executive President as well as Managing Director of the China-CEE Institute in Budapest. He studied at Pécs University in Hungary in late 1980s and International Politics at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in 1990s. He obtained a PhD degree in Law. From 2007 to 2008, he was appointed as the Chinese Co-Director of the EU-China European Studies Centres Programme (ESCP), a joint project co-financed by the Chinese Government and the European Commission. He is the deputy chair of the Chinese Association of European Studies (CAES), and an Executive member of Chinese Association on International Economic Relations.
His main research interests are EU-China Trade and Economic Relations, European Economy, and Central East European Studies.
